The first batch of controls have arrived

What a glorious day! The first shipment of supply arrived this evening. A box of buttons with an arcade style trackball. (UPDATE: the second shipment appeared today. Now with all of the controls accounted for, minus some shipment damage on one of the joysticks, I should be able to get started on testing the board layout soon.)

Just ordered the remaining controls

Wow was that expensive. The final parts order just went through, and to celebrate, I uploaded a custom Defender wallpaper, a high rez picture of what the 4 player panel looks unfolded, plus a favicon for good measure.

I’ll have to play 3,923 games to pay for this.

Took one of the first big financial leaps and ordered some parts from Happ Controls tonight. This includes the 40 push-buttons and the big red trackball. I’ll be ordering the rest of the controls from Ultimarc next month or so, (providing the economy holds out), and this does not include the tools and wood I’ll need to buy.

At 25 cents per old school game-play, I figure that I’ll have to play about 3,923 games on this machine once it’s complete to offset the cost of the parts.
